As a Senior Applications Systems Analyst in our Imaging Technology Solutions (ITS) department, you will support the technologies that enable world‑class imaging, diagnosis, and clinical care. This role offers the chance to make a direct impact on patient outcomes by ensuring the availability, reliability, and optimization of critical imaging systems across one of the nation’s leading cancer centers. Salary Range
  • Minimum: $106,500
  • Midpoint: $133,000
  • Maximum: $159,500
  • Ideal candidate will have experience in PACS workflow and experience implementing and supporting custom developed applications in a healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities Systems Administration & Support
  • Administer and maintain systems supported by Imaging Technology Solutions.
  • Ensure system availability, patient data reliability, security, and integrity.
  • Provide second‑level support for assigned applications, including the Enterprise Imaging Platform.
Process Surveillance & Improvement
  • Analyze and revise system master files and configuration to meet user, regulatory, divisional, or institutional requirements.
  • Develop and refine operating procedures and workflows to solve complex technical issues.
  • Account for system capacity, limitations, and availability in design and support decisions.
Technical Leadership
  • Provide senior‑level technical expertise, leadership, and strategic direction for assigned applications.
  • Leverage knowledge of IT architecture and systems integration to support system and application design decisions.
Mentorship
  • Serve as a Team Lead and mentor junior staff, supporting skill development and technical growth.
Other
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Department Information

Imaging Technology Solutions supports and manages the technologies that power MD Anderson’s diagnostic and clinical imaging operations. The team oversees imaging applications, Radiology & PACS, systems integration, data workflows, and technology enhancements essential to patient care. ITS collaborates with clinical partners and operational leaders to ensure imaging systems remain secure, reliable, innovative, and aligned with institutional priorities. The department is committed to delivering solutions that enhance clinical outcomes, improve efficiency, and support MD Anderson’s mission to end cancer.

Education
  • Required:

    Bachelor’s Degree
Work Experience
  • Required:

    5 years Experience in epic software, domain, analysis, design, project management, or programming.
  • May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis.
  • Preferred: PACS workflow, experience implementing and supporting custom developed applications in a healthcare environment.
