JOB SUMMARYThe Engineer Enterprise Data Intelligence supports the development and maintenance of data pipelines, datasets, and dashboards used across HISD’s ERP domains. This role works with data from Oracle Fusion, SAP, and related enterprise systems to ensure that reports are timely, accurate, and aligned with operational needs. The Engineer collaborates with senior staff and analysts to deliver visualizations and data sets in Microsoft Fabric and Power BI, supporting district wide decision‑making.
MAJORDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, computer science, or a related field required. Applicants who do not meet these education qualifications may be considered if they have a unique combination of education and work experiences that indicate potential for success in this role.
WORK EXPERIENCEMinimum of 3 years of experience in data reporting, analytics, or engineering. Familiarity with ERP systems and Power BI required. Experience with Microsoft Fabric a plus.
SKILL AND/OR REQUIRED LICENSING/CERTIFICATION- Working knowledge of SQL, DAX, and data transformation tools.
- Experience building and supporting Power BI datasets and reports.
- Familiarity with data pipeline tools such as Azure Data Factory.
- Understanding of data quality, data governance, and user access principles.
- Strong collaboration and documentation skills.
- Certifications in Power BI or Microsoft data platforms preferred.
Works independently under the guidance of senior engineers or architects. May coordinate assigned tasks or support user‑facing efforts.
