The Senior Engineer plays a critical role in system stability, user support, documentation, and post‑go‑live improvements as the district transitions platforms.

The position also supports integration testing, change management, and the ongoing optimization of ERP solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Lead technical support and configuration for ERP modules such as HR, Payroll, Finance, and Procurement.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on either SAP ECC or Oracle Fusion Cloud system behavior and workflows.
  • Collaborate with analysts and business users to translate operational needs into functional solutions.
  • Develop and execute test plans, including regression, integration, and user acceptance testing.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues and coordinate vendor escalations when needed.
  • Document changes, create training/reference materials, and support end‑user enablement.
  • Participate in ERP system upgrades, enhancements, and releases with an eye on system integrity.
  • Support data conversion, validation, and mapping activities during cloud transition.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to process improvement and standardization efforts.
  • Design and build new applications, integrations, or workflows that address business and instructional needs.
  • Develop secure, modular, and scalable applications using low‑code/no‑code platforms or modern web development stacks.
  • Support integration with core systems such as Oracle Fusion, Microsoft Power Platform, and SIS/LMS tools.
  • Participate in project planning, requirements analysis, prototyping, and solution reviews.
  • Maintain clean documentation, technical diagrams, and release notes for all solutions delivered.
  • Work with users to test, validate, and train on new features or tools.
  • Contribute to shared development libraries, design patterns, and solution templates.
  • Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.
  • Education

Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, or business technology is required. Applicants who do not meet these education qualifications may be considered if they have a unique combination of education and work experience that indicates potential for success in this role.

    Work Experience

Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting ERP systems, including at least one full‑cycle implementation or migration. Experience with both SAP and Oracle Fusion is preferred.

    Skills and Certifications
    • Expertise in at least one ERP functional area (e.g., Payroll, Procurement, Finance, HR)
    • Experience in ERP configuration and system troubleshooting
    • Strong understanding of business process design and system testing methodologies
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Knowledge of change management and release documentation processes
    • Familiarity with tools such as Service Now, Jira, and Microsoft Power BI is a plus
    Leadership Responsibilities

May mentor junior engineers and lead small projects or task groups. Operates with autonomy on technical problem‑solving and module support.

    Miscellaneous

Solves moderately complex issues involving ERP logic, business processes, and integration with upstream/downstream systems. Exercises judgment in prioritizing tickets and recommending changes. No direct budget authority, but provides input on tool selection, vendor performance, and module licensing needs. Frequently resolves system failures, misconfigurations, and data inconsistencies. Directly affects payroll accuracy, procurement workflows, HR compliance, and finance operations. Works closely with business analysts, end users, IT teams, and vendors, and serves as a key technical point of contact for ERP users.
