• Ability to work 2-3 days a week onsite in Houston, TX (77077)
• Big Query, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, Dataproc, Cloud Composer, and Modern Cloud Data Services

• Design and architect scalable enterprise data platforms leveraging Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services including Big Query, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, Dataproc, Cloud Composer, Cloud Storage, and Dataplex
• Define architecture patterns for batch, streaming, CDC, and near real-time data ingestion and processing
• Build scalable cloud-native data ecosystems supporting analytics, operational reporting, and enterprise data consumption
• Partner closely with data engineering, analytics, platform, and enterprise architecture teams to align data platform solutions with enterprise standards and modernization initiatives
• Define reusable architecture patterns and shared data services supporting enterprise-wide data integration and analytics capabilities
• Drive best practices around cloud-native data architecture, scalability, observability, performance optimization, and operational excellence
• Support modern data lake, data warehouse, and lakehouse architecture initiatives within GCP environments
• Define scalable patterns for data acquisition, orchestration, transformation, metadata management, and cloud-based analytics enablement
• Provide architectural guidance around data modeling, workload optimization, partitioning strategies, and cost-efficient platform design
• Contribute to long-term cloud data platform strategy and enterprise modernization roadmaps
• Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to translate business and technical requirements into scalable cloud data solutions

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, or other related technical field
• Experience architecting and supporting enterprise‑scale Google Cloud Platform (GCP) data environments
• Strong expertise with modern cloud data platform technologies including Big Query, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, Dataproc, Cloud Composer, and Cloud Storage
• Experience designing scalable data ingestion, orchestration, streaming, and analytics architectures
• Understanding of modern data architecture principles including data lakes, lakehouse concepts, data warehousing, and cloud‑native analytics ecosystems
• Proficiency with Python or similar scripting/programming languages preferred
• Exposure to Kafka, CDC frameworks, event‑driven architecture, and real‑time processing concepts preferred
