Oxy strives to attract and retain talented employees by investing in their professional development and providing rewarding opportunities for personal growth. Our goal is to meet the highest employer standards by ensuring the health and safety of our employees, protecting the environment and positively impacting our communities where we do business.
Our greatest asset has been and will continue to be our people. We are currently looking for an experienced and highly motivated individual to fill the position of Analyst IT Systems within Digital Workplace department located in Houston, TX.
As a key member of our IT support team, you'll play a vital role in keeping our print and production environments running smoothly across the organization. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving problems, working directly with customers, and owning services end to end.
A successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Delivering exceptional printer, plotter, and production support for the Greenway Campus, while also providing remote support for all other locations. You'll monitor system performance, respond to hardware, software, and network inquiries, and resolve issues directly or by coordinating with other support teams as needed.
- Serving as the primary point of contact for all printers and plotters at Greenway and field locations, while partnering closely with IT and business teams. You'll help bridge gaps, resolve process breakdowns, and ensure smooth service delivery across multiple support groups.
- Diagnosing and resolving technical issues related to print servers, Smart Print, and Xerox/HP devices. Your technical expertise in server and printer support will be key to keeping systems reliable and efficient.
- Managing incidents and service requests by accurately logging, tracking, prioritizing, and resolving cases using company-approved tools (including Service Now). You'll work with users step by step until resolution, escalating when appropriate.
- Installing, configuring, and supporting printers, plotters, and associated supplies to meet business needs.
- Providing on-site production printing support, including assisting with large print runs, binding, and specialty print requests.
- Supporting procurement activities for plotters, production printing, and specialty print orders, including coordination with Alphagraphics.
- Work alongside experienced teammates to support print service vendors, helping with contract administration, participating in right-sizing initiatives, and contributing ideas that support cost savings and efficient service delivery.
- Get hands-on experience supporting print and IT service projects, assisting with technology efforts, tracking progress and timelines, collaborating with partners, and helping ensure tasks and deliverables move smoothly to completion.
- Collaborating with Digital Experience site teams and application owners to co-develop documentation, cross-train, and mature shared responsibilities, ensuring resilient, layered print services support across locations.
- Communicating proactively with assigned sites about upcoming activities, changes, and known issues within the print environment. You'll also stay closely aligned with IT teams to remain informed on enterprise-wide initiatives and improvements.
- Creating and maintaining clear documentation to support knowledge sharing and cross-training. This includes solution documentation, installation details, organized project files, and ongoing knowledge transfer to IT and business partners.
- Demonstrating leadership and adaptability, modeling a strong work ethic, taking initiative on support improvements, and adapting to changing business requirements. You'll continuously expand your technical skills and understanding of customer needs.
- Training end users, both formally and informally, on the effective use of printing applications and hardware.
- Must be comfortable working hands-on with IT hardware.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and install large rolls of plotter paper independently is required.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or other relevant discipline or 5 or more years of relative IT experience.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong work ethic with attention to detail.
- 5 or more years of relative IT experience.
