Overview
The IT Support Specialist will support local information technology infrastructure and services, including hardware, software, operating systems, video conferencing, network troubleshooting, and printing infrastructure to assist internal customers.
Responsibilities
- Servicing incident and request tasks for deployed infrastructure services to end-users, including moves, adds, and changes. Providing hardware, software, and operating system upgrades for end-user devices such as PCs and mobile devices.
- Following established technology standards, policies, and support processes.
- Establishing and monitoring metrics on service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Providing end-user support for collaboration technologies, including video conferencing, Smart displays like Surface Hubs, Skype for Business, and Microsoft Teams.
- Supporting local area network and wireless network infrastructure.
- Supporting end-user requirements related to Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, print and file services, including Follow Me Print.
- Managing and maintaining local assets and configuration items in Service Now.
- Performing Moves, Adds, and Changes.
- Participating in special projects as assigned.
- Traveling to offices or job sites for short-term project support.
- Providing proactive and timely support to executives and VIPs.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or 7 years of related IT experience.
- At least 1 year of experience providing end-user IT support, supporting hardware, peripherals, software, video conferencing, and operating systems.
- At least 1 year of experience with incident and request management systems like Service Now.
- At least 1 year of experience supporting executives and VIPs.
- Experience with identification, evaluation, prioritization, and resolution of hardware and software incidents and requests.
- Effective communication skills with customers and other departments within the organization.
- Ability to work within a local and distributed team environment.
- Understanding of basic networking technologies and principles.
- Ability to work in a demanding environment, managing multiple priorities.
- Ability to identify, plan, install, and support off-site meetings and conferences.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- A+ certification is preferred.
