Job Title : Network Analyst
Duration: 6-12+ Months
Location: Beltway 8 Westheimer area of Houston, TX - 5 day a week on-site (on-site schedule Monday through Thursday with Friday half-day remote)
Rate: $40-50-55/hr on W2 or $50-60-65/hr on C2C or 1099- MAX
The Network Analyst, for Client is working for their Global Networking team at the company main office Houston, office reporting to the Manager of Network Services Schedule – Monday to Thursday – 7.30am – 5.30pm in office and Friday 7.30am to 11.30am remotely to support their enterprise network and contribute to projects when needed requiring network expertise.
RoleSummary:
The successful candidate will be able to:
Act as an escalation resource for reported network or application performance issues Manage and support the network monitoring and configuration management software Provide technical support for field networks to include industrial switches, routers, and wireless bridges Utilize Apache’s service portal to manage and create service requests, outages, and change requests Identify, evaluate and recommend technologies using best practices/industry standards Identify innovative ways to utilize existing applications and technologies Forecast and coordinate management of change for scheduled maintenance weekends Effectively communicate with end users and peers around the world.
ProfessionalQualifications &
Experience:
- Extensive design, deployment and troubleshooting experience with large enterprises Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to clearly articulate complex issues Project management and customer interfacing capabilities.
- Experience with Palo Alto products including Panorama, PA Next Gen Firewalls and Prisma Experience with Cisco routers, switches, firewall and wireless hardware.
- Experience with Solar Winds Network Management suite of applications.
- Experience with Wireshark and packet level analysis and application performance root cause analysis.
- Experience troubleshooting OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, Firewalls, IPSEC/SSL VPNs, DMVPNs, Spanning tree and network security High level of experience with Cisco Nexus Data Center Architecture High level of experience with Cisco ISE/NAC.
- Working knowledge of SNMP, Net Flow, IP SLA and other management protocols.
- Experience working in Oil and Gas Industry preferred specifically with field support technicians Extensive Routing and switching experience and strong troubleshooting skills are essential.
