VMWare Server Architect

Project Role:

Lead the definition, design and documentation of technical environments. Deploy solution architectures, conduct analysis of alternative architectures, create architectural standards, define processes to ensure conformance with standards, institute solution‑testing criteria, define a solution's cost of ownership, and promote a clear and consistent business vision through technical architectures.

Install, run, maintain, configure, troubleshoot, and repair server infrastructure to ensure a stable production environment. Must be able to interact with business units to define server requirements – propose technical/functional solutions to meet the requirements – and build‑out server solutions to meet business requirements based on current and future compute environment.

Required Skills:

• 3–5 years of experience administering VM/Windows server environments and Microsoft Active Directory infrastructure.
• Hands on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Responsible for server infrastructure operations including system configuration, high availability solutions and virtualization.
• Handle day‑to‑day problems and service requests related to Server environment and virtualized infrastructure.
• Participate in the development and maintenance of disaster recovery plans for servers and storage.
• Operate and support a geographically dispersed datacenter and customers.
• Hands‑on experience in a multitude of Microsoft products including, but not limited to, Windows Server and Cloud infrastructure engineering.
• A strong sense of initiative and learning, able to prioritize and organize, able to lead and work with a team, and able to communicate well with management and other personnel.
• Demonstrated solid understanding of scalable technology architectures and processes.

Qualifications:

• 3–5 years of experience in a large enterprise environment.
• Strong analytical and logical problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and relationship skills.
• Good organizational and project management skills.
• Sound judgment; initiative; flexibility; detail‑oriented.
• Ability to adapt and learn new concepts and technologies.
