Senior OT and Data Engineer – Digital Manufacturing Transformation

What You’ll Be Doing

As an OT Applications and Data Engineer working for AG Solutions Group, you will be responsible for the hands‑on implementation and support of OT systems and data solutions for our process manufacturing customers. You will play a key role in implementing, configuring, and integrating OT applications, data flows, and operational intelligence solutions. Your role will include hands‑on work with customer OT systems as well as internal staff mentoring and best practices development.

Location: USA (Houston, TX preferred)

Work Mode: Hybrid/Remote

Travel: Up to 50%

• System Installation & Configuration:
  Implement and configure ISA-95 Level 3 systems (SCADA, BES, Historian, MES, CMMS, LIMS), using AG best practices and Industry standards, and integrate with corresponding Level 2 (control) and Level 4 (business) systems.
• Real‑Time Data Integration:
  Set up real‑time data collection systems, ensuring seamless data flow from operational technology layers (PLC, SCADA) to enterprise systems (ERP, data lakes).
• Contextualization & Data Flow:
  Implement solutions for contextualizing real‑time operational data, ensuring that data is transformed into meaningful insights for decision‑making.
• Data Enablement:
  Configure and integrate manufacturing data hubs or UNS (Unified Namespace) for effective data management, allowing for easy access and visibility across OT and IT systems.
• Data Visualization and Analytics:
  Implement Operational Intelligence and Industry Solutions to solve data‑driven use cases.
• System Support & Troubleshooting:
  Provide ongoing support for OT applications by troubleshooting issues and ensuring systems are running efficiently.
• Collaboration with Teams:
  Work closely with AG, customer, and partner OT architects, IT teams, and business units to ensure systems are configured correctly, data is integrated properly, and solutions meet operational needs.
• Mentoring Junior Engineers:
  Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, assisting them in developing technical skills, problem‑solving techniques, and ensuring they adhere to best practices for system implementation and data integration.
• Knowledge Management & Best Practices:
  Contribute to the development and maintenance of internal knowledge management resources, including documentation of best practices, troubleshooting guides, and standardized procedures. Collaborate with other engineers to continuously improve internal processes and practices for system integration and data solutions.
