The Product Analyst supports the Product Champion from a technical perspective by providing technical design and solution options for product development. The Product Analyst uses their technical knowledge and field experience to translate roadmap requirements into tangible product design elements. The Product analyst tests all product prototypes to ensure they meet usability, customer, and roadmap requirements. Post-development, the Product Analyst technically tests and assesses the products adherence to the “job-to-be-done” defined at Product inception.

Key

Functions:
  • Develop design options that meet roadmap goals and customer requirements.
  • Enhance usability: work with UX to optimize product usability and automation for better development efficiency.
  • Provide daily guidance to engineering teams on product functionality development.
  • Define work items: offer detailed descriptions and acceptance criteria for new functionalities.
  • Assist the product team in prioritizing client requirements during sprint planning.
  • Validate the geoscientific accuracy of the solutions developed.
  • Conduct prototype testing and commercial product testing to ensure they meet specifications, including customer focus groups when appropriate.
  • Work with UX to define the user experience and continually validate through testing and data analysis; follow up with customers to confirm bug resolution and implementation of requirements.
  • Communicate with customers about timelines for product enhancements, including updates and upgrades.
  • Collaborate with engineering to maintain high standards of product quality.
  • Produce product documentation, demo videos, and written material for training and marketing purposes.

  • Profound technical knowledge of product design and development.
  • Strong communication skills to articulate product functionalities to engineering teams and clients.
  • Analytical problem‑solving ability to optimize development and troubleshoot issues.
  • Customer‑focused approach to understand and prioritize client needs and validate solutions.
  • Collaboration and leadership capacity to work cross‑functionally and lead product quality initiatives.
  • More than 20 years of experience in a related field.
