Epic Lead Business Analyst - Hospital Billing & Claims

Job Summary

The Epic Business Systems Lead Analyst ensures that the operational interests of their respective functional areas are fully represented in the day-to-day operations of the Information Systems Department. This role supports the Epic applications deployed within the Harris Health System.

• Bachelor's Degree and Certification for at least one Epic Application.
• Or, High School Diploma or GED, plus either eight (8) years within IT or five (5) years in hospital healthcare organizations, and certification for at least one Epic Application.

• Two (2) years of Epic Project experience or Epic Team Lead experience.

Above average verbal skills (heavy public contact), exceptional verbal skills (e.g., public speaking), writing and correspondence, and report writing.

• Knowledge/skills/abilities: analytical, design, research, statistical.
• Work schedule:
  
  on call, eligible for telecommute.

• Be available to work on site or remotely after hours as needed.
• Experience in a hospital or clinic setting preferred.
• Experience supporting an Electronic Medical Record System.
• Healthcare Information Technology experience.
• Understanding of functional processes and business rules related to the applications being implemented/supported.
• Ability to handle multiple activities simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and meet overlapping deadlines.
• Understands the limitations and opportunities presented by the applications supported.
