Job Overview

Reviews, analyzes, and modifies programming systems including encoding, testing, debugging, and installing to support an organization's application systems. Consults with users to identify current operating procedures and clarify program objectives.

• Write documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, and corrections.
• Write manuals for users to describe installation and operating procedures.
• Plan and accomplish goals with extensive experience and judgment.
• Provide solutions for complex total system problems.
• Direct, guide, and coordinate activities of a team/teams of technical personnel performing complex engineering activities.
• Report to top management.

Typical requirements: a bachelor's degree in a related field or 10 years of experience in the field or related area. Working knowledge of relational databases and client-server concepts.
