Systems Engineer

Life Gift is looking for a Systems Engineer to provide advanced technical support, administration, and maintenance of IT infrastructure. The role manages complex issues escalated from level 1 support, oversees server and network environments, and assists with infrastructure projects, security initiatives, and system optimization.

• Serve as support for server, network, cloud, and application-related issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware, software, and infrastructure problems.
• Administer and maintain Windows and Linux servers.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and group policies.
• Configure and support virtualization platforms such as VMware and Hyper‑V.
• Monitor system performance, capacity, and availability.
• Implement security patches, upgrades, and system maintenance activities.
• Support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes.
• Assist in cloud administration (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Create and maintain technical documentation and SOPs.
• Participate in infrastructure projects, migrations, and deployments.
• Mentor level‑1 support staff and provide technical guidance.

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 0–2 years of IT support, help desk, or systems administration experience.
• Five years’ experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), hardware troubleshooting, and IT security best practices.
• Preferred certifications:
  CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Fundamentals Certifications.
