Position OverviewThe Security Engineer designs, implements, and maintains security solutions to protect client organization’s IT infrastructure, applications, and data. The role involves collaborating with IT, Dev Ops, and security teams to enhance cybersecurity resilience and mitigate risks.
Key Responsibilities- Security Architecture & Implementation – Design and deploy security solutions such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, EDR, and encryption technologies. Implement and maintain network, cloud, and endpoint security configurations. Develop secure system architectures in line with industry best practices.
- Threat Detection & Incident Response – Monitor and analyze security alerts, logs, and network traffic for suspicious activity. Conduct forensic investigations, malware analysis, and incident remediation. Work with SOC teams to develop and improve security monitoring and response strategies.
- Vulnerability Management & Risk Assessment – Perform penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and security audits. Identify and remediate security misconfigurations, weaknesses, and risks. Ensure security policies align with industry standards (ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, SOC 2, etc.).
- Security Automation & Dev Sec Ops – Integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines and cloud environments. Automate security monitoring, log analysis, and vulnerability scanning. Develop scripts and tools for incident response and threat mitigation.
- Compliance & Security Awareness – Ensure adherence to regulatory and compliance frameworks applicable to the organization. Provide security guidance and training for IT teams and employees. Document security policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field. - Experience:
3+ years in cybersecurity engineering, network security, or system security. - Certifications (Preferred): CISSP, CEH, OSCP, GSEC, or equivalent.
- Technical Proficiency – Hands‑on experience with firewalls (Palo Alto, Cisco, Fortinet), SIEM (Splunk, QRadar), and EDR solutions. Strong knowledge of cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP), IAM and encryption protocols. Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, Power Shell) for automation.

Full‑time role with remote or hybrid options based on company policy. May require on‑call availability for critical security incidents. Collaboration with IT, Dev Ops, Compliance, and SOC teams. International travel required.
