IT Support, Systems Administrator
Provide advanced desktop and end-user support in a high-pressure banking and trading floor environment. Responsible for system administration, workstation builds, VDI support, incident resolution, and maintaining secure, high-availability IT operations.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver day-to-day service desk support (tickets, calls, emails) for trading, banking, and enterprise systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve desktop, application, and system performance issues.
- Build, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and VDI environments.
- Manage user accounts, access control, and system configurations.
- Perform OS installations, patching, and vulnerability remediation.
- Support trading floor technologies (turret phones, voice systems, market data platforms).
- Execute start-of-day and end-of-day operational procedures.
- Maintain and update Windows and VDI images.
- Manage IT asset inventory and lifecycle.
- Collaborate with global teams to resolve incidents.
- Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices.
Handles complex, time-sensitive technical issues impacting trading operations. Requires independent problem-solving, sound judgment, and minimal supervision. Direct impact on business continuity, trading availability, and user productivity.
Required Skills & Experience Technical Expertise- Advanced knowledge of Windows 10/11 Enterprise, imaging, building machines and troubleshooting
- Experience with ITSM tools (BMC Helix, Service Now, Microsoft Service Manager)
- VDI environments and SCCM packaging/deployment
- Endpoint security and patching (Qualys, Ivanti, Zscaler, Sentinel One)
- Cisco voice systems and trading turret platforms
- Audio/video conferencing technologies
- Basic networking knowledge
- Familiarity with financial/trading applications such as Bloomberg, Refinitiv, ION, Tradeweb, FXAll, CME/Broker Tec, Market Axess, etc.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Scripting/automation (Power Shell preferred)
- Experience with reporting tools (Excel, LDAP, SQL) is a plus
- Workday administration experience is a plus
- Familiarity with AI tools and automation solutions is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of relevant experience
- Microsoft/Cisco certifications preferred
- Spanish language skills are a plus

With respect to this position in our Houston Office, the expected base salary ranges from $100,000 to $115,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered.
In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
