Job OverviewThe ETRM Developer reports to the Manager, ETRM (Energy Trading & Risk Management) Applications and is responsible for development, configuration, maintenance, and support of the ETRM applications including Endur, Zema, and custom applications.
ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate for this role will be responsible for using their analytical and technical experience to develop and support custom solutions in Openlink Endur to meet the Cheniere Natural Gas and LNG business requirements. They will work closely with business analysts, infrastructure personnel, and business users to ensure that the solutions meet all business requirements.
- Ensures technical solutions are developed in the best way to meet functional specifications and adhere to Cheniere’s technology standards.
- Works with team members to ensure core and custom solutions adhere to best practices.
- Works on multiple projects concurrently and/or multiple high priority production support issues simultaneously.
- Provides production support for ETRM applications, including Endur, Zema, and custom applications.
- Demonstrates understanding of business requirements.
- Investigates and resolves problems through research and technical analysis.
- Coordinates with vendor(s), DBA(s), IT Infrastructure personnel as needed to support production.
- Coordinates with other application teams for issue resolution and proactively prevents issue occurrence.
- Effectively works with vendors and external partner support services to obtain solutions and/or workarounds that are acceptable to business operations.
- Follows procedures for source code management and migration into the Production environment.
- Provides off‑hours support when needed.

Knowledge: Experience developing technical solutions to meet complex business requirements in a commodity trading environment. The ideal candidate would have experience in front, middle and back‑office functions to include Natural Gas & Financial Deal Capture, Mark to Market and Risk Exposure, Gas Scheduling and/or Settlements and Accounting and technical delivery leadership.

Skills:
Ability to articulate complex technical ideas to business analysts’ stakeholders. - Java, OpenJVS, Open Components Proficiency:
Deep understanding of the Java programming language, its libraries, and related tools. Fluent understanding of OpenJVS and/or Open Components APIs. - Database
Skills:
Experience with SQL and relational database systems like Oracle and SQL Server. - Version Control Systems:
Familiarity with version control systems, like Git or Subversion, for tracking changes in the source code during software development. - Problem‑Solving
Skills:
Ability to troubleshoot issues, debug code, and find effective solutions to coding problems. - Dev Ops:
Understanding of Dev Ops principles and tools for continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD). - Security:
Knowledge of Windows security practices, such as securing services using secure coding and deployment practices. - Understanding of Energy Markets:
Basic knowledge of energy trading markets and regulatory frameworks can be very beneficial.
Education, Training and
Certifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT or related field.
Experience:
Five (5) to seven (7) years’ experience developing ION/Open Link Endur solutions with JVS and/or .NET and Oracle DBMS and PL/SQL including hands‑on knowledge around customization and integration using Openlink Endur.
