Summary
The Cybersecurity Architect Advisory Consultant reports to the Cybersecurity Architect Senior Manager and works closely with the chief information security officer, audit, compliance, and various business units. The role focuses on designing security solutions that protect enterprise data while enabling business innovation. It involves collaborating with security engineering, IT infrastructure, application development, security operations, and external partners to secure business‑to‑business initiatives, third‑party relationships, and outsourced solutions.

- 2+ years of cybersecurity architecture experience.
- 6+ years of information security experience.
- 6+ years of experience delivering technology solutions.
- 3+ years in architecture, governance, risk management, PCI DSS control governance, application security, encryption, key management, and identity & access management.
- Associate’s degree or 4+ additional years of equivalent experience.
- Extensive knowledge of traditional security controls and technologies such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, PKI, IDAM, antivirus, and firewalls, as well as newer offerings like EDR, threat intelligence platforms, security automation, deception technologies, and application controls.
- Experience with mobile and web application design, development, and management principles, practices, and procedures.
- Experience influencing management on technical and business solutions.
- Experience in cloud computing technologies, including SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, public, private, and hybrid environments.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Knowledge of data protection technologies and practices.
- Understanding of threat analysis and assessment of potential and current information security risk/threats.
- Solid grasp of application or software security: dynamic application security testing, secure code review, and secure static code analysis.
- Understanding of cryptography, key management, service‑oriented architecture, and associated security controls.
- Understanding of enterprise authentication and authorization technologies such as LDAP, SAML, XACML, and reverse authenticating proxies.
- General understanding of diverse platforms and operating systems, including current and emerging technologies.
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) preferred.
- Experience architecting applications for financial services businesses.

Range
$70,000 - $140,000 Annual Salary. The range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base compensation. Actual compensation will vary based on location, experience, and education. Eligible for an incentive compensation plan.
