Complete Logistical Services is excited to announce a contract/temporary position for an Oracle Cloud HCM Functional Analyst. This position is ideal for a professional looking to utilize their expertise within a dynamic team setting. The role demands a strong, dedicated individual, capable of demonstrating complete command of Oracle HCM related functionalities in a fast-paced environment. This is not a remote job;

our operations are based in the Houston area, requiring full-time onsite collaboration to better liaise with our HR Systems team and various business stakeholders.

The role focuses on delivering operational support and advanced configuration for Oracle’s Core HR, Benefits Administration and Absence Management modules, while also providing advisory services on Payroll and Time & Labor. This position promises a challenging yet fulfilling opportunity to directly impact our operational efficiencies and contribute to our ongoing success.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide direct functional configuration and production support for Oracle Benefits, Absence Management, and Core HR processes.
  • Configure and support Oracle Benefits programs, including plan offerings, rates, eligibility profiles, life events, enrollment processing, and employee or administrator issue resolution.
  • Support annual and mid-year Open Enrollment activities, including planning, configuration, testing, issue resolution, post-enrollment audits, and benefits administration stabilization.
  • Configure and support absence plans, accrual rules, eligibility criteria, absence-related Fast Formulas, absence processing, and related employee or manager issue resolution.
  • Support Core HR configuration and operational processes, including worker lifecycle events, assignment data, employment records, organizations, jobs, positions, locations, and data integrity activities.
  • Troubleshoot benefits, absence, and core HR issues that may impact eligibility, enrollment, absence balances, employee data, reporting, integrations, or downstream payroll outcomes.
  • Assess current Oracle HCM configurations and identify opportunities for optimization, simplification, standardization, and improved user experience.
  • Directly configure and support Core HR, Benefits, and Absence Management modules, while advising on Payroll and Time & Labor configuration dependencies and impacts.
  • Develop and maintain Fast Formulas and User Defined Tables supporting benefits eligibility, rates, absence processing, core HR business rules, and related payroll or time dependencies.
  • Perform impact assessments and regression testing related to quarterly Oracle updates, enhancements, production fixes, and cross-module dependencies.
  • Prepare and maintain functional design documentation, configuration workbooks, test scripts, issue logs, support guides, and knowledge transfer materials.
  • Act as Tier 2/3 functional support for Benefits, Absence Management, and Core HR issues, while providing advisory support for payroll and time-related impacts.
  • Analyze and resolve complex application issues involving benefits, absence, eligibility, employee data, approvals, configuration, reporting, integrations, or downstream payroll dependencies.
  • Support incident management, root cause analysis, corrective actions, preventative controls, and audit readiness for owned functional areas.
  • Identify opportunities to automate processes, improve operational efficiency, reduce repeat issues, and strengthen configuration governance across benefits, absence, and core HR.
  • Participate in quarterly Oracle release reviews, testing, readiness planning, defect resolution, and adoption activities with attention to both direct support areas and payroll/time advisory impacts.
  • Work closely with HR Systems, Benefits, HR Operations, Payroll Operations, IT, Security, Integrations, and business stakeholders.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable, sustainable Oracle HCM functional solutions for benefits, absence, and core HR, while identifying payroll and time-related dependencies.
