Job Title: MES Senior Consultant

Location: Philadelphia, PA / Houston, TX / Lake Forest, CA / Calgary, Canada

The selected candidate will be part of AVEVA NA project delivery services group that exclusively works on delivering world class Manufacturing Execution Systems and Manufacturing Operations Management solutions based on Model Driven MES principles using AVEVA MES to multinational manufacturing customers based in NA. We cater to various manufacturing industries and processes including Food & Beverage, Consumer Packaged Goods, Discrete Manufacturing, Specialty Chemicals, Metals, Building Products and Life Sciences.

In this role you will be part of AVEVA MES Global Practice and will have opportunities to work with large multi‑national companies on multi‑site MES project implementations and to become a Subject Matter Expert in various functions and industries where AVEVA MES is used. You will be a part of the large global MES delivery team where you will have opportunities to network, collaborate and hone your MES skills.

• Fully customer‑facing, working with the Project Manager to gather requirements.
• Convert requirements into system design, manage project schedule, lead project team and ensure timely completion of technical development and tasks.
• Apply AVEVA Model Driven MES to solve customer issues and help customers achieve business objectives.
• Interview customers and translate information into formal requirements ensuring full alignment with the customer.
• Identify required software system and infrastructure architecture designs and convert gathered formal requirements into a system design that can be easily understood by the customer as well as the AVEVA project team.
• Work with the Project Manager to provide detailed Work Breakdown Structure for efficient project task management.
• Enforce technical and project execution best practices.
• Manage geographically distributed project team to ensure project tasks are completed in a timely fashion.
• Contribute to development of project tasks, manage project source code and release management efficiently.
• Author system acceptance test criteria and conduct unit and system testing as per the test plan.
• Manage development, quality and production environments efficiently.
• Travel up to 25% to customer sites for requirements gathering workshops, design workshops, training workshops, implementation, etc.

• Experience with Production Scheduling and Optimization, Recipe Management, Production Sequencing and Dispatch, Order Execution, Genealogy, Track & Trace, Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE), ERP Integration, Production Quality, Statistical Process Control and Automation.
• Experience with Business Process Management using Workflows is a plus.
• Experience with ISA‑88/Batch Control is a plus.
• Experience with Warehouse Management is a plus.

• Enforcement of technical and project execution best practices.
• Strong leadership skills in multi‑site MES project implementations.
• Full software development life cycle experience.
• Ability to manage geographically distributed project team.

• Understanding of ISA‑95.
• Expert in MES Solutions (preferably AVEVA MES).
• Industrial Automation & Networking.
• Solid understanding of SCADA solutions.
• Solid understanding of integrating MES with ERP, EAM, LIMS and similar plant floor systems.
• IOT, Edge Computing and Cloud Computing is a plus.
