Job Description
Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
8–12 years of experience in Cyber Security, with significant exposure to SOC operations at L3 / Senior Analyst level.
Strong hands on experience in 24x7 SOC environments, supporting shift based operations.
Advanced Expertise In Security Incident Investigation And Response, Including- High and critical severity incidents
- Cross domain investigations (endpoint, network, cloud, application)
- Splunk Enterprise Security, including alert analysis, correlation, and incident workflows
- Crowd Strike Falcon, including advanced investigation and response actions
Strong knowledge of security log analysis and event correlation across: endpoints, servers, network devices, security tools.
Solid understanding of MITRE ATT&CK framework and adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures.
Experience supporting Digital Forensics and Incident Response (DFIR) activities.
Exposure to cloud security investigations (AWS / Azure / GCP logs and alerts).
Strong understanding of incident handling, escalation procedures, and evidence handling best practices.
Technical Competencies- Ability to independently handle L3 level escalations in a 24x7 SOC environment
- Validate escalations from SOC L1 and L2 teams
- Perform root cause analysis and impact assessment
- Support containment and remediation actions
- Expertise in SIEM and EDR driven investigations
- Identify true positives vs false positives and reduce noise
- Support threat hunting and proactive detection activities
- Strong understanding of endpoint, network, cloud, and application security threats
- Strong ownership and accountability expected from a Senior SOC / L3 role
- Ability to work effectively in shift based, high pressure 24x7 SOC operations
- Excellent communication skills: guide SOC L1 / L2 analysts during incidents, provide clear updates to customers and management stakeholders, strong documentation and incident reporting discipline
- Ability to mentor and technically guide junior SOC analysts
Salary Range: $110,000- $130,000 a year.
