Retail Peripherals Software Technical Program Manager
HP Retail and Industrial Solutions Business is looking for a Technical Program Manager for our peripheral hardware and POS software portfolio. The TPM will deliver features, manage cross‑functional teams and serve as the primary technical point of contact with peripheral vendors and customers.
Responsibilities- Manage and lead a program involving multiple functions and project teams to drive the engineering development and implementation process for a product or service offering.
- Oversee logistics of parts for builds and prototypes and work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Develop and direct the development of schedules, critical deliverables, budget, resource allocation plan, and other support requirements for the assigned program.
- Manage activities of supporting project teams and internal development partners; ensure progress against the established plan and make determinations based on business information to alter or update schedule and resource allocation.
- Assure procedural compliance, maintenance, and safety practices are followed for new and existing equipment.
- Communicate program progress, escalations, and issues to product stakeholders; collaborate with management and manufacturing partners to recommend and implement changes that resolve issues and maintain adherence to budgets and roadmaps.
- Follow up on open points/actions observed during trials and convey actionable items.
- Drive innovation and integration of new technologies and quality initiatives into projects.
- Drive best practices through documentation control policies and procedures.
- Lead and mentor less‑experienced staff members.
• Four‑year or graduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related discipline (or equivalent work experience).
• Typically 7‑10 years of work experience, preferably in engineering development, implementation, project planning tools, people management, or a related field.
