About the RoleWe’re looking for an IT Systems Specialist to take full ownership of IT setup, access management, and ongoing employee support. This role ensures a seamless onboarding experience for new hires, maintains system security, and troubleshoots IT issues to keep our team running smoothly.
With IT operations now being managed internally, this is a great opportunity to build and refine our onboarding process, optimize system management, and enhance security protocols.
Responsibilities- Onboarding New Hires:
Create company email accounts and provision necessary permissions. Set up and install required software and tools for employees. Ensure proper access to internal systems based on job roles. - IT Support & Troubleshooting:
Assist employees with system-related issues (software, access). Respond to and resolve IT tickets in a timely manner. Coordinate with vendors for hardware repairs and replacements. - System Maintenance & Security:
Regularly update and patch company systems and software. Manage identity & access control (IAM, SSO, MFA). Monitor system performance and ensure compliance with IT security policies. - Offboarding & Access Management:
Securely remove departing employees’ access to company systems. Redirect emails to relevant team members as needed. Ensure all IT assets are collected and accounted for. - Process Optimization:
Improve and document IT onboarding/offboarding workflows. Automate repetitive IT tasks to enhance efficiency.
- Experience in IT support, IT operations, or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of identity & access management (IAM), email systems (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365), and enterprise software.
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
- Understanding of cybersecurity best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and improve IT processes.
- Experience with automation tools for onboarding/offboarding.
- Familiarity with MDM (Mobile Device Management) solutions like Intune or Jamf.
- Basic scripting skills (Power Shell, Bash, or Python).
Training will be provided for a week on what to do and how to do.
