IT & Physical Security Project Manager

iSphere is looking for an IT & Physical Security Project Manager who understands enterprise security systems well enough to know when a project is being done right, when something is being missed, and when a vendor is hoping nobody asks too many questions.

This role will oversee projects involving network video recorders, surveillance cameras, access control systems, and the supporting IT infrastructure. You will not be the person pulling cable or mounting cameras, but you do need real hands-on experience in this environment. Our client wants someone who understands the technology, can recognize problems early, and knows what quality work should look like before signing off on it.

You will coordinate projects from planning through completion, work with internal IT and security teams, manage vendors and contractors, track schedules and budgets, and make sure installations meet technical, operational, and security requirements. You will also help resolve issues involving system design, integrations, network connectivity, hardware, access control, and overall project execution.

What we need:

• Current or previously held Lenel or Lenel OnGuard certification
• Direct experience with enterprise access control systems, video surveillance, cameras, and NVR platforms
• Strong IT project management experience
• Enough hands-on technical knowledge to oversee installations, identify issues, and hold vendors accountable
• Experience managing project schedules, budgets, risks, deliverables, and multiple stakeholders
• Understanding of networking and infrastructure as they relate to physical security systems
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with IT teams, security personnel, facilities, contractors, vendors, and leadership
• Ability to manage multiple projects and keep things moving without needing a meeting to schedule another meeting

A current Lenel certification is preferred, but candidates with an expired certification are still encouraged to apply. Certifications lapse. Experience does not. A qualified candidate who is willing to renew will be considered.

The person who does well in this role will know the difference between managing a physical security project and simply forwarding vendor updates. You will be expected to ask informed questions, challenge questionable recommendations, recognize when work does not meet expectations, and make sure projects are completed safely, properly, and to a high standard.

Preference will be given to candidates who have worked directly with enterprise physical security systems before moving into project leadership.
