ServiceNow Platform Administrator

Primary purpose

Keep the platform stable, secure, well-governed, and release-ready.

• Administer users, groups, roles, and access
• Manage update sets, release calendar, and deployment controls
• Coordinate clones, patches, upgrade readiness, and regression cycles
• Monitor instance health, performance, and configuration hygiene
• Maintain system properties, notifications, scheduled jobs, and technical documentation
• Coordinate with infrastructure/security teams on platform controls

• Strong Service Now administration experience
• Release and environment management
• Security role and access governance
• Incident/defect triage
• Strong documentation discipline

The ideal candidate would also have skills as a technical lead and developer to include;

• Key responsibilities
• Design and build medium/high-complexity platform changes
• Lead workflow/flow design, form logic, and app enhancements
• Set coding/configuration standards
• Review technical solutions before deployment
• Support complex defects and root-cause analysis
• Build and maintain forms, flows, catalog items, notifications, and dashboards
• Support departmental workflow enhancements
• Resolve production defects and service requests
• Develop minor integrations and configuration changes
• Support testing and deployment validation
• Run intake sessions with departments
• Document requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process maps
• Facilitate prioritization with business and platform leadership
• Coordinate UAT, business sign-off, and release readiness
• Maintain training aids, SOPs, and knowledge documentation
• Required skills
• Strong Service Now development background
• Flow Designer, scripting, integrations, and scoped app experience
• Technical design discipline and Testing and code review practices
• Service Now configuration and development and Service catalog/request fulfillment logic
• Workflow/process automation
• Reporting/dashboard support
• Strong requirements gathering and process mapping
• Service management/process improvement background
• UAT coordination
• Documentation and communication skills
• Ability to work across technical and business teams
• Ability to translate business requirements into platform solutions
