Contract. This is an independent senior practitioner role embedded in large transformation programs that include SAP S/4 integration.

We are seeking a highly seasoned SAP S/4 Finance practitioner to serve as a Quality Engineer, acting on behalf of the client. This client-side role is embedded within program work streams to provide independent, hands-on, experience-driven guidance during planning and design activities. The role will provide guidance on the connection between SAP S/4, asset/work management, and field service execution platforms such as Salesforce Field Service and/or IFS Field Service Management within a large utility transformation program.

This role is intentionally designed as a client-side position for a highly skilled independent practitioner who brings quality perspective, delivery judgment, and transformation experience to client planning and design activities.

The practitioner will operate in large, complex transformation environments involving Field Services across multiple business units (electric and gas) and jurisdictions, integrated into the broader SAP S/4

HANA program. The program includes multiple work streams, cross-functional integration, formal governance forums, and significant utility-sector process complexity.

• Serve as the independent client-side advocate across field service process design, dispatch/scheduling, crew management, mobility, contractor coordination, and integration with SAP work and asset processes.
• Review and challenge SI or platform partner outputs related to Salesforce Field Service, IFS FSM, SAP EAM integration, and end-to-end field execution design.
• Assess whether proposed designs support actual utility field operations, crew execution realities, outage/response needs, and workforce usability.
• Validate integration patterns and business process connectivity across work creation, assignment, scheduling, status management, completion, materials usage, and financial impacts.
• Drive traceability across requirements, process decisions, interface needs, control points, and downstream reporting implications.
• Represent the client perspective in design reviews, governance forums, and Design Authority situations where multiple partners may propose competing design or integration approaches.
• Identify where architecture or workflow design introduces unnecessary complexity, unsustainable manual workarounds, or poor field adoption risk.
• Support issue resolution for end-to-end processes that cross SAP, field service, mobility, supply chain, and finance domains.
• Coach client stakeholders on the practical implications of field service platform decisions and what is required to achieve sustainable operational adoption.

• 12–15+ years of experience in field service, asset/work execution, or service operations environments with strong enterprise system integration exposure.
• Strong experience with Salesforce Field Service and/or IFS Field Service Management, including design or implementation involvement in large programs.
• Meaningful experience integrating field service capabilities with SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4
  
  HANA, especially around EAM/work management processes.
• Strong ability to evaluate solution designs, process architecture, integration patterns, and field usability implications.
• Experience implementing field platforms in Electric and/or Gas Utilities is required.
• Experience implementing large, complex, multi-jurisdiction transformations is required.
