Title: Information Systems Specialist
Location: Houston, TX
Position Summary:
The Information Systems (IS) Specialist is responsible for providing day-to-day IS and desktop support to Telios employees in the Houston office. This position will serve as the Houston office's primary IS resource, working closely with the Dallas IS team to troubleshoot and resolve technology issues and support the systems and applications used by our employees. The Specialist will bring a strong foundation in Revit, BIM, Autodesk products, or other AEC engineering/drafting technologies and will develop the information systems and desktop support skills needed to become a well-rounded technical resource for our Houston engineering team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day desktop, hardware, software, peripheral, and connectivity support to Houston employees
- Troubleshoot and resolve user information systems issues and coordinate with the Dallas team and outside vendors as needed
- Install, configure, maintain, and support computer hardware and software
- Provide technical support for Revit, BIM, Autodesk products, and other AEC technology used by the Houston engineering team, while continuing to expand expertise in these applications
- Assist with IS projects, hardware acquisition, configuration, network support, and technology implementation
- Maintain a strong customer-service focus and provide timely follow-through on user support needs
- Remain actively involved in continuing education and training related to AEC software and information technology
- Travel frequently to Dallas during the initial training period for training and collaboration with the Information Systems team
- Undergraduate degree in information systems, management information systems, computer science, computer engineering, engineering, or a similar technical discipline is required
- Must have demonstrated work or internship experience with Autodesk products, BIM software, Revit, or engineering/drafting tools
- Demonstrated customer-support focus with effective communication/problem-solving skills and sense of urgency
