Engineering Data Analytics

• Analyze engineering and cost-related datasets to identify trends and business insights
• Perform data mining and trend analysis
• Develop DAX measures and Power Query transformations to support project KPIs and executive reporting
• Develop, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards
• Establish data validation checks for report accuracy, completeness, and consistency
• Create executive-level reports and visualizations
• Automate reporting processes to improve efficiency
• Track cost-saving initiatives and project milestones
• Support engineering review meetings and status reporting
• Improve reporting methodologies and data visibility
• Develop standardized metrics and KPI reporting systems
• Maintain data integrity and validate data accuracy
• Support cross-functional engineering, manufacturing, product development, and program teams

• High school diploma with previous experience in other functional areas
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in project controls with a focus on engineering
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in advanced Power BI development
• Strong proficiency in Power BI
• Experience developing Power BI semantic models and dashboards
• Experience with Power Query, DAX, and relational data modeling
• Ability to document data logic, KPI definitions, and reporting methodology
• Ability to integrate data from multiple systems, spreadsheets, databases, or project controls tools
• Proven record and experience in a project controls effort on assigned projects
• Understanding of basic project management principles
• Excellent general understanding of Cost Management, Estimating, and Change Control
• High degree of computer literacy
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with staff at all levels
• Ability to meet deadlines, work independently, be accountable, maintain focus, be punctual, and maintain good attendance
• Ability to work independently or as a team member when needed
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Experience with SQL preferred
• Experience with Primavera P6, Microsoft Projects, or other project controls systems preferred
• Experience with row-level security, deployment pipelines, and Power BI Service administration preferred

Demonstrates expertise in Power BI development, including DAX measures, Power Query transformations, and dashboard creation to support project KPIs and executive reporting. Proven ability to analyze datasets for trends, maintain data integrity, and automate reporting processes for enhanced efficiency.
