Ready to assume a crucial role within the Business Systems Department?
The Business Systems Developer designs, develops, customizes, and maintains applications within the organization's business systems, including the IFS Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. They will work closely with operations and leadership to translate operational needs into technical solutions, ensuring the business systems support efficient workflows, accurate data management, and integrations with other systems. The Business Systems Developer writes code, builds reports, configures pages and workflows, troubleshoots issues, and continuously enhances the system to meet evolving business demands.
As the Business Systems Developer, you’ll play a pivotal role in the daily management and continuous improvement of the company’s IFS ERP System. This role is about rolling up your sleeves and driving execution. You’ll be responsible for ensuring that the company’s business systems drive efficiency, ensuring our workforce runs smoothly and evolves with the business.
- Collaborate with business analysts, functional teams, and end-users to gather requirements and design tailored IFS ERP solutions?
- Develop, configure, and customize IFS ERP applications using IFS Developer tools (e.g., IFS Developer Studio, IFS Report Builder, PL/SQL)?
- Customize and extend IFS modules across Supply Chain, Finance, Projects, Service, and Human Capital Management and Customer Relationship Management?
- Write and optimize PL/SQL code, custom events, workflows, and business logic?
- Build, maintain, and enhance integrations between IFS and external systems via APIs, Web Services, and middleware?
- Develop custom Python process automations for editing, importing, and exporting data via API’s?
- Support the development of bespoke full-stack web applications?
- Create and maintain custom reports, including Quick Reports, lobbies, and dashboards?
- Troubleshoot and resolve IFS application issues and provide user support as needed?
- Participate in system upgrades, patches, testing, and rollout of enhancements?
- Document development activities, code changes, and solution designs for technical and end-user reference?
- Create scalable, efficient, and user-friendly modifications that meet evolving business requirements?
- Build reliable integrations that ensure seamless data exchange between IFS and other business-critical systems?
- Produce clear, professional documentation that aligns with IT standards and governance?
- Design and implement large-scale modifications to resolve ERP system issues?
- Facilitate unit testing, integration testing, and assistance during User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of major release updates?
- Support continuous improvement and optimization initiatives for the ERP system, enhancing system performance, security, and user experience?
- Provide occasional off-hours support during system maintenance windows or critical updates?
- Associates or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
