Senior Solutions Architect

We are seeking an experienced Senior Solutions Architect to join our RTS team
, with deep expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and designing scalable, secure, and resilient enterprise solutions.

This role will serve as a senior technical leader responsible for translating complex business and technology requirements into practical solution architectures. The ideal candidate combines strong hands-on AWS knowledge with enterprise architecture experience and is comfortable partnering with engineering teams, business stakeholders, security, infrastructure, and senior leadership.

The Senior Solutions Architect will play a key role in defining technical direction, modernizing existing platforms, and ensuring solutions align with enterprise architecture, security, reliability, and operational standards.

• Lead the architecture and design of complex, enterprise-scale solutions with a strong focus on AWS cloud technologies

• Translate business, functional, and technical requirements into scalable and maintainable solution architectures.
• Design highly available, resilient, secure, and cost-effective AWS architectures.
• Provide technical leadership throughout the solution lifecycle, from initial discovery and architecture through implementation and production deployment.
• Develop architecture diagrams, solution designs, technical specifications, integration patterns, and implementation roadmaps.
• Evaluate existing applications and infrastructure and recommend cloud modernization, migration, and optimization strategies.
• Define and promote cloud architecture standards, design patterns, reference architectures, and engineering best practices.
• Partner closely with application development, infrastructure, Dev Ops, cybersecurity, networking, data, and operations teams.
• Lead architectural reviews and ensure solutions meet organizational requirements for security, performance, scalability, availability, and disaster recovery.
• Provide guidance on application modernization approaches, including cloud-native, containerized, serverless, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
• Design integration strategies across cloud, on-premises, SaaS, APIs, and third-party platforms.
• Identify technical risks, architectural gaps, dependencies, and trade-offs and communicate them clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Mentor engineers and architects and provide technical guidance on complex implementation challenges.
• Support troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for complex architecture and production issues when needed.
• Continuously evaluate emerging AWS capabilities and recommend technologies that provide meaningful business or technical value.

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, infrastructure, cloud architecture, solution architecture, or related technology roles.
• 3+ years of experience serving as a Solutions Architect, Cloud Architect, Enterprise Architect, or similar senior technical role.
• Deep hands-on experience designing and implementing solutions on AWS

• Strong knowledge of core AWS services, including:
• EC2, ECS, EKS and Lambda
• S3 and cloud storage technologies
• RDS, Aurora and DynamoDB
• VPC, Route 53, Elastic Load Balancing and networking
• IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager and AWS security services
• API Gateway
• Cloud Front
• SQS, SNS and Event Bridge
• Cloud Watch and AWS monitoring/observability capabilities
• Strong understanding of AWS Well-Architected Framework principles.
• Experience designing highly available and disaster-recovery architectures across Availability Zones and Regions.
• Strong understanding of cloud security, identity and access management, encryption, network security, and governance.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, AWS Cloud Formation, AWS CDK, or similar technologies.
• Experience with CI/CD, Dev Ops practices, and automated cloud deployments.
• Strong knowledge of APIs, microservices, distributed systems, and modern application architecture.
• Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes/EKS

• Strong understanding of enterprise integration and hybrid cloud architecture.
• Ability to produce clear architecture diagrams and communicate complex technical concepts to both engineering teams and business stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
