This position is responsible for coordinating and managing Collaboration Technology services including video conferencing, presentation, and conference room assistance provided to the Firm. Assists the Collaboration Technology Services Manager or Supervisor with the operation and maintenance of equipment and assists domestic and international technical staff in the setup, operation and maintenance of equipment and conferences.
Duties and Responsibilities Primary- Coordinates enterprise video conferencing service standards and support across all offices, including international locations without TDS staff, while local office teams except for Houston manage conference scheduling and on-site setup activities. Houston on-site setup activities are performed by the CTS team primarily with local technology resources assisting when needed.
- Assists in the operations of the infrastructure that supports the Videoconferencing equipment.
- Works with the Collaboration Technology Services Manager or Supervisor in the execution of video editing and file uploading to the firm Content Delivery Network (CDN).
- Assists in the planning and technical support for conferences and presentations; works with local office staff to provide necessary support resources and estimate costs for special events.
- Participates in technical development projects relating to audio and video in all offices.
- Liaison for conferencing and equipment needs with outside agencies and hotels for Firm events and presentations.
- Participates in the evaluation of equipment repairs and equipment needs pertaining to operations; recommends additional equipment and/or modifications, if needed.
- Assists in the coordination of the video conference activities of national and international TDS technicians.
- Participates in an on-call rotation for after-hours and weekend support for emergency and after-hours events.
- Performs daily testing of assigned conference rooms for proper functionality and escalating any issues that cannot be addressed.
- Performs regular updates on conference room equipment to address firmware or software updates required and testing the rooms following those updates to ensure full functionality.
- Serves as a backup for administrating the firm's video conference systems.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree preferred.
- Four years progressively responsible audio-visual related experience.
- Knowledge of A/V applications for the legal field and working knowledge of computer programs such as Adobe Creative Suite and video editing software. Experience with H.323 and SIP video conferencing equipment preferred.
- Knowledge of A/V equipment and automated control systems including lighting, program and speech amplification systems, videotaping equipment, equipment integration and switching capabilities, presentation modes, audio/video recording and duplicating equipment, digital editing techniques; working knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite and video editing software including Final Cut.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills; ability to work with a team of highly-skilled professionals.
- Ability to direct and lead employees and to maintain confidential information.
- Job is performed in a typical office environment, but is subject to time pressures and constraints, and is often dependent on input from others.
- Additional hours including nights and weekends are required periodically.
- Ability to lift 30 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
