Position Overview:
Cristo Rey Jesuit College Preparatory School of Houston seeks an experienced, service-oriented IT Systems Administrator to support the technology needs of our students, faculty, and staff and help maintain the school’s technology infrastructure.
This position combines hands-on user support with responsibility for network, cloud, security, classroom, audiovisual, and information systems. Cristo Rey Jesuit operates primarily within the Google Workspace for Education ecosystem and uses Power School as its student information system.
The Systems Administrator will work closely with the Director of Information Technology and will have opportunities to assume increasing responsibility for the school's technology operations, infrastructure, cybersecurity, systems administration, and long-term technology planning.

Key Responsibilities User Support and Technology Operations- Serve as a primary point of technical support for faculty, staff, students, and administrators
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, printing, account, and connectivity issues
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computers, laptops, Chromebooks, printers, classroom technology, and peripheral devices
- Prepare, deploy, maintain, and track school-owned devices
- Maintain accurate inventory and documentation of technology assets
- Provide support for Google Workspace applications, including Gmail, Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Calendar, Meet, and related applications
- Support Windows and other operating systems used by the school
- Provide patient, professional, and service-oriented assistance to users with varying levels of technical expertise
- Assist in the administration of Google Workspace for Education and the Google Admin Console
- Create and manage user accounts, organizational units, groups, permissions, and access
- Support Google identity, authentication, security, and multi-factor authentication
- Manage and troubleshoot Chromebooks and other devices through the Google Admin environment
- Assist with Google Drive permissions, shared drives, email administration, security settings, and data management
- Monitor Google Workspace security alerts and assist with investigation and remediation
- Help establish and maintain best practices for account provisioning, deprovisioning, data retention, sharing, and information security
- Provide technical support for Power School and other educational technology platforms used by the school
- Work with academic and administrative personnel to troubleshoot Power School access, user accounts, permissions, integrations, and technical issues
- Assist in maintaining reliable data flow and integrations between Power School and other school technology systems
- Coordinate with Power School support and other vendors when issues require external assistance
- Help maintain appropriate security and access controls for student and school information
- Develop an understanding of the school's major academic, administrative, admissions, financial, HR, and student information systems and how those systems interact
