SYSTEMS ENGINEER III – AV/COLLABORATION ENGINEER

Noetic is seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer III – AV/Collaboration Engineer to design, deploy, integrate, and manage workplace collaboration environments at NASA Johnson Space Center. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR), Logitech, Crestron, Cisco, and other conferencing technologies
, along with a strong understanding of AV systems, networking, Microsoft 365, and collaboration infrastructure. This role will serve as a technical subject matter expert responsible for maintaining reliable, high‑quality collaboration environments, troubleshooting complex AV and connectivity issues, and supporting the deployment and lifecycle management of collaboration technologies across JSC and other NASA centers as needed.
Design, deploy, integrate, and manage physical workplace collaboration environments at NASA Johnson Space Center and support collaboration environments across other centers as needed.
Serve as a subject matter expert for Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR), including Logitech, Crestron, Cisco, and other conferencing technologies.
Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot conferencing systems and peripherals, including displays, cameras, microphones, speakers, and other collaboration hardware.
Lead physical installation, structural mounting, cable management, and hardware configuration of MTR Windows and Android endpoints.
Manage and monitor Microsoft Teams Rooms Pro Management Portal, Teams Admin Center, Cisco Control Hub, Crestron XiO Cloud, Logitech Sync, and other approved tools.
Monitor hardware health, device status, and peripherals to maintain high availability and optimal audio/video quality.
Plan, test, and deploy software updates, security patches, and OEM firmware upgrades.
Provide hands‑on troubleshooting for complex audio, video, control programming, and connectivity issues.
Evaluate, select, and standardize Microsoft Teams‑certified AV hardware, including microphones, cameras, DSPs, and control panels.
Configure Teams resource accounts and Exchange integrations.
Support enterprise and federal Conditional Access policies and network optimization, including Quality of Service (QoS).
Apply systems engineering concepts to the design, development, integration, and testing of cloud, hardware, software, and system‑level requirements.
Develop integrated system test requirements and strategies and support overall system‑level testing.
Some travel may be required to support installation teams at other centers.
Bachelor's degree.
3–5+ years of experience in AV engineering, unified communications, or collaboration workspace management.
Direct, hands‑on experience deploying and programming Logitech, Crestron, Cisco, and other conferencing devices.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Teams Rooms architecture across Windows and Android ecosystems.
Experience with Microsoft Teams Rooms hardware, networking, software, and management tools.
Understanding of collaboration and conferencing control environments.
Ability to read high‑level wiring diagrams for installation and troubleshooting.
Understanding of Crestron and AMX control systems, display technologies, and audio/video switching technologies.
Understanding of AV-over-LAN technologies and audio DSP configuration and gain structure.
Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and firewall rules.
Experience with Microsoft 365 Conditional Access policies.
Experience managing Teams resource accounts, licenses, and Exchange room calendars.
Ability to work 100% on‑site at NASA Johnson Space Center.
Ability to obtain and maintain the required Public Trust designation.
Microsoft MS-700 – Managing Microsoft Teams certification or specialized Microsoft Teams Rooms training.
CTS – Certified Technology Specialist certification.
CTS-I – Certified Technology Specialist – Installation certification.
Knowledge of government network and hardware security requirements.
Experience supporting enterprise or federal collaboration environments.
