Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Database Administrator / System Administrator to manage and maintain production and non-production database environments. The role will focus on database stability, security, performance, backup/recovery, troubleshooting, and support for modernization and migration initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Design, create, enhance, and maintain databases and database environments.
- Perform database monitoring, performance tuning, optimization, and maintenance.
- Support database upgrades, migrations, data conversions, and modernization initiatives.
- Ensure data integrity, availability, security, and reliability.
- Manage database access, permissions, and security controls.
- Perform backup, recovery, and disaster recovery activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database and system-related issues.
- Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and management teams.
- Execute and monitor scheduled daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance activities.
- Manage storage capacity, indexing, and overall database efficiency.
- Strong hands-on experience as a Database Administrator / System Administrator
. - Experience with database administration, monitoring, backup/recovery, and performance tuning.
- Experience supporting production and non-production environments.
- Knowledge of database security, access controls, and disaster recovery.
- Experience with database migration, upgrades, and modernization.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience supporting large enterprise or government environments.
- Experience with legacy-to-modern database migrations.
- Experience with high-availability and disaster recovery environments.
