Personal Lines Underwriter

• Build, maintain, and grow a book of personal lines business
• Manage agency relationships and serve as lead client contact
• Create and execute a marketing plan to increase new and renewal business
• Underwrite, rate/broker, quote and bind each risk to determining acceptability, coverage, and pricing for renewals as well as new business and endorsements
• Develop and submit underwriting referrals to company facilities and WSG management
• Monitor key metrics to formulate corrective action impacting new business hit, renewal retention, premium growth, and loss ratio
• Lead, train, and develop Associate Underwriters

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 3+ years of personal lines underwriting experience required, excess & surplus experience preferred
• Demonstrated proficiency in sales and marketing
• Interest in continued education and professional development
• Travel if necessary to foster strong client relationships
