Job Duties
  • Underwriting responsibility for the South-Central Region
  • Build a well-balanced and profitable portfolio of Private and Not-for-Profit Financial Lines products
  • Oversee the Underwriting, rating, and servicing of new and renewal submissions
  • Ensure that underwriting files are of consistent quality and cover all relevant issues
  • Facilitate marketing / client plan for the region
  • Meet regularly with assigned Financial Lines brokers
  • Identify and establish new relationships with FL brokers
  • Success to be measured by submission/quote/bind metrics compared to prior periods of the team
  • Develop a working knowledge of other Starr products to facilitate cross sale of those products where applicable
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent 3-5 years
  • Underwriter in Management Liability
  • Detail oriented
  • Attention to quality/accuracy
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workflows efficiently Requirements
