Litigation Paralegal

Ware, Jackson, Lee, O’Neill, Smith & Barrow LLP is a boutique litigation firm in Houston representing clients of various sizes, including Fortune 500 companies, small businesses and individuals within a variety of industries. Our professional staff plays an important role in our continuous delivery of exceptional service and results to our clients.

As a Litigation Paralegal, you’ll play a key role in supporting our attorneys through all phases of litigation.

• Organizing case files and maintaining case management systems
• Ordering, summarizing, and managing medical records
• Preparing for trial and attending proceedings
• Maintaining positive client relationships
• Coordinating with attorneys and staff on complex projects
• Preserving attorney-client confidentiality
• Conducting legal research
• Assisting with pleadings, exhibits, transcript summaries, discovery responses, and trial notebooks
• Scheduling and confirming meetings and appointments

• A strong commitment to client service
• Excellent judgment and decision-making skills
• Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe
• Familiarity with eDiscovery platforms and trial software (preferred, Relativity a plus)
• Strong organizational, communication and writing skills
• Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities
• Independence and initiative in daily work
• Minimum 3 years of litigation experience
• Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate
