We have an immediate open for a senior litigation paralegal in our Houston office. We fight for the rights of employees in cutting edge employment law cases across the United States. The Houston office is seeking a senior-level litigation paralegal who is not just technically strong, but aligned with our plaintiff-side, trial-driven, justice-oriented culture. This person will be a core member of our litigation team, working directly with attorneys on high-stakes employment cases.
1. Experience & Core CompetenciesThe ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum 5-7+ years of litigation paralegal experience, with a strong preference for employment law (Title VII, ADA, FMLA, retaliation, whistle blower, etc.)
- Substantial experience with:
- Discovery (drafting, responding, tracking, ESI, depo prep)
- Court filings (state and federal)
- Trial preparation and exhibit management
- Calendaring, deadlines, and case logistics
- Strong legal writing and drafting skills (pleadings, discovery, client correspondence, chronologies, summaries)
We are not looking for a junior or administrative paralegal position. This is a litigation-driven, attorney-facing role.
2. Work Ethic & ProfessionalismThis person must be:
- Extremely detail-oriented – mistakes in filings, deadlines, or exhibits are unacceptable
- Deadline-driven – understands court rules, scheduling orders, and that litigation is unforgiving
- Hard-working and reliable – someone the attorneys can trust when the pressure is on
- Proactive – anticipates problems, flags issues, and moves cases forward without being told

3. People Skills & Team FitOur Houston office culture is collaborative, intense, and mission-driven. The paralegal must be:
- A strong team player who communicates well with attorneys, staff, and clients
- Client-centered—empathetic, professional, and respectful to people in crisis
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced plaintiff-side environment
This role regularly interacts with clients who are dealing with termination, retaliation, discrimination, and financial distress — emotional intelligence matters.
