Legal Assistant, Banking
Our client is seeking a Legal Assistant to support it's Banking & Finance practice in Houston, TX. This role is ideal for a dependable, detail-oriented legal assistant with strong transactional experience. Candidates with backgrounds in banking & finance, corporate, or commercial lending are encouraged to apply. This is a direct hire, in-office opportunity.

Legal Firm with multiple locations.
Legal Assistant, Banking Role:
Provide administrative and legal support to attorneys in the Banking & Finance practice
Draft, revise, and proofread correspondence and transactional legal documents
Prepare and organize loan documentation, financing agreements, and client files
Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate closing timelines and deadlines
Maintain accurate records and ensure proper filing (electronic and hard copy)
Communicate professionally with clients, lenders, borrowers, and internal teams
Assist with closing preparation, document tracking, and post-closing file organization
Provide general transactional legal support as needed

Legal Assistant Background Profile:
Previous experience as a legal assistant in Banking and or Finance may consider commercial lending
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
High attention to detail with ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal document management systems
Professional demeanor with strong follow-through and reliability
Must have steady tenure
