About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a strong insurance defense background and meaningful trial or courtroom experience. You will handle a diverse docket of civil litigation matters, participate in all phases of discovery, manage depositions, attend hearings, and support trial strategy alongside experienced litigators.

Key Responsibilities

+ Manage an active caseload focused on insurance defense matters

+ Conduct legal research, draft motions, pleadings, discovery, and case evaluations

+ Attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials

+ Collaborate with partners and support staff to advance case strategy

+ Communicate effectively with clients, carriers, and internal teams

Requirements

Qualifications

+ 3-7+ years of insurance defense litigation experience

+ Trial experience (first-chair, second-chair, or significant courtroom exposure strongly preferred)

+ Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills

+ Licensed and in good standing with the Texas State Bar

+ Ability to work independently while being part of a collaborative team
