Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site position for an Experienced Family Law Attorney at Lilly & Van Ness, LLP, located in River Oaks (Houston). The attorney will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload of family law matters, including divorce, child custody, and complex/high-net-worth asset division. Day-to-day tasks include drafting legal documents, conducting legal research, preparing cases for court proceedings, representing clients in negotiations and court hearings, and providing legal counsel.
The role also involves maintaining client relationships, collaborating with colleagues, and ensuring the highest ethical and professional standards are upheld.
- Strong expertise in Family Law, including knowledge of divorce, custody, and property division.
- Proficiency in Legal Research, Negotiation, and Client Advocacy to effectively represent clients and achieve favorable outcomes.
- Excellent skills in Drafting Legal Documents and Court Filings with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proven ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with clients, colleagues, and legal professionals.
- Admission to the State Bar of Texas and a strong record of professional integrity and ethical practice.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience litigating family law. Must have extensive first chair experience.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
- Demonstrated commitment to providing compassionate, client-centered legal services.
