Litigation Attorney - Property Damage

Litigation Attorney Requirements & Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Active member of the Texas Bar, in good standing.
  • 2+ years of litigation experience; first-party property experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation and client advocacy skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and team-focused.

Litigation Attorney Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of first-party homeowner property insurance claims from start to finish.
  • Conduct detailed legal research and case analysis.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents.
  • Take and defend depositions of insureds, adjusters, experts, and corporate representatives.
  • Negotiate settlements and participate in mediations or arbitrations.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, including trials and hearings.
  • Communicate consistently with clients, providing clear updates and strategy explanations.
  • Collaborate with paralegals, assistants, and fellow attorneys to ensure top-quality representation.
  • Stay informed of evolving Texas insurance law and property damage trends.
