The Corporate Counsel role provides support focused primarily on litigation, dispute resolution, and claims management, with additional responsibility for contract review and legal risk assessment. This role partners closely with executive leadership, operations, and external counsel to manage legal disputes, oversee litigation strategy, and protect the company’s interests across a growing, multi-state and international organization.

The ideal candidate brings strong litigation judgment, practical business acumen, and the ability to manage complex legal matters efficiently, while advising the business on risk, exposure, and dispute avoidance.

• Lead and manage litigation and disputes, including claims, arbitrations, mediations, and lawsuits, in coordination with outside counsel.
• Oversee litigation strategy, budgets, timelines, and outcomes, ensuring matters are handled efficiently and aligned with business objectives.
• Direct fact-finding and internal investigations related to disputes, including issue analysis, document review, and coordination with internal teams.
• Manage discovery processes, including document collection, review, and production, and support responses to subpoenas and formal requests.
• Assess legal exposure related to disputes and provide risk-based recommendations to executive leadership and business partners.
• Manage insurance-related claims, including general liability, professional liability, and other coverage matters, working with insurers, internal personnel, and outside counsel.
• Review and advise on construction and contracts, subcontracts, as well as other commercial agreements with a focus on risk allocation, scope definition, and acceptance criteria.
• Provide legal guidance to business teams on dispute prevention, claims mitigation, and litigation risk management.
• Collaborate with operations, finance, and leadership on legal issues impacting projects, claims, and litigation strategy.
• Drive continuous improvement of litigation management, claims processes, and contract risk review practices.
• Provide strategic legal support on complex or high-risk matters as business needs evolve.

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Active admission to at least one state bar and ability to maintain good standing.
• 5+ years of experience in litigation, dispute resolution, or claims management, preferably within construction, infrastructure, manufacturing, or industrial services.
• Experience working on both transactional and litigation.
• Strong litigation management and dispute resolution experience with sound legal judgment.
• Exceptional attention to detail with ability to review and comment on lengthy contracts.
• Deep understanding of discovery, fact development, and litigation strategy.
• Ability to assess risk, evaluate exposure, and provide clear, actionable legal guidance.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple complex matters simultaneously.
• Business minded, pragmatic, and solutions oriented approach.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal document management systems.
• Experience with insurance claims and coverage issues is a plus.
• Net Suite Experience Preferred.
