Our client is seeking a highly skilled Transactional Tax Associate with a minimum of four years of relevant experience gained in a law firm setting to join their Corporate practice group in either Houston (preferred) or New York. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in transactional tax matters, particularly related to M&A transactions, and the ability to support complex domestic and cross‑border deals.
Key Responsibilities- Advise on the tax aspects of domestic and cross‑border mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and separations.
- Support clients on tax issues related to capital markets transactions and financing arrangements.
- Provide guidance involving S‑corporations, partnerships, and other pass‑through entities.
- Conduct thorough legal research and draft transaction‑related documents and memoranda.
- Manage deal processes, ensuring smooth coordination across teams and timelines.
- Build strong internal and external client relationships through exceptional communication and service.
- Minimum of 4 years of transactional tax experience gained in a large law firm setting with strong M&A exposure.
- Strong analytical, writing, and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal communication skills and high attention to detail.
- Ability to balance multiple assignments in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
- Admission to practice law in the state of the office location (Texas or New York).
