The team advises leading institutional investors, private equity sponsors, developers, and lenders on complex transactions across asset classes and capital structures.

Core areas include:

• Mortgage and mezzanine financings (lender and borrower side)
• Single-asset and portfolio transactions

• Structuring joint ventures and equity investments
• Sponsor-driven transactions across asset classes

• High-value asset and portfolio acquisitions
• Multi-jurisdictional transactions

• Office, multifamily, student housing, hospitality, life sciences, industrial, and mixed-use projects

The Houston office works closely with colleagues across major U.S. markets, providing exposure to both regional and national deal flow.

• Draft and negotiate sophisticated transaction documents
• Structure complex debt and equity arrangements
• Manage due diligence and closing processes
• Work directly with senior partners on high-stakes negotiations
• Take on meaningful responsibility in a fast-paced environment

• Mid-level or senior associate experience in commercial real estate
• Experience in one or more of the following:
• Joint-venture equity work
• Acquisitions and dispositions
• Development transactions
• Strong transactional lawyers from adjacent practices will also be considered
• Admission to practice in Texas (or ability to obtain promptly)
• Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills
• Commitment to professional growth and collaborative team culture

Annual compensation range: $260,000 – $435,000
, depending on experience and qualifications.
