Position Overview
Johnson Law Group is seeking a Case Manager to support our Personal Injury division in our Chicago office. This role is responsible for managing pre-trial case workflows, supporting litigation preparation, maintaining client communication, and assisting with administrative functions to ensure efficient office operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining strong organization and communication standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with pre-trial case management, ensuring deadlines and procedural requirements are met
- Draft complaints, motions, discovery documents (including Plaintiff Profile forms), and e-file in state and federal courts
- Conduct legal research and file cases in Illinois state jurisdictions
- Review and analyze medical records to assess claims and identify key case details
- Maintain consistent communication with clients, providing updates and guidance throughout the case lifecycle
- Accurately document case progress and audit files to ensure matters remain on track
- Maintain detailed and organized records within the firm's case management system
- Provide administrative and operational support for the Chicago office, including file organization, coordination with courts or vendors, and internal workflow tracking
- Bachelor's Degree
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience in Personal Injury (plaintiff-side preferred)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a structured, team-based environment
- Bilingual proficiency preferred but not required
