Smith Parker Elliott, PLLC is a premier insurance coverage and litigation defense law firm founded in 2019. We are currently seeking an associate attorney with 3-4 years of insurance defense experience. Candidates must have strong analytical, research and writing skills as well as the ability to work both independently and within a team environment.

Key Responsibilities

• This role is for a docket handling lawyer who can handle all aspects of defense litigation from answer to jury verdict
• Drafting pleadings, motions, and other court-related documents
• Reporting effectively, timely, and professionally to clients
• Sending and responding to discovery, including coordination with clients to obtain relevant responsive documents and information
• Conducting legal research on a variety of issues relevant to insurance defense litigation
• Preparing for and attending depositions, hearings, site inspections, and mediations
• Active participation in all aspects of litigation management

Competitive salary, annual performance-based raises, year-end discretionary bonus, quarterly performance-based bonuses, and benefits package offered. This is a full-time in-office position with the potential for remote hybrid flexibility after ramp up. Candidates must be admitted and in good standing in Texas.
