About the Practice
The Employment Litigation team represents employers in complex workplace disputes across state and federal courts, arbitration forums, and administrative agencies. Attorneys regularly handle matters involving discrimination, retaliation, wage and hour claims, wrongful termination, and other high-stakes employment disputes.
The practice is known for combining strong trial advocacy with proactive counseling strategies designed to mitigate risk and support clients’ long-term business objectives. Lawyers in this group work closely with clients and take an active role in developing litigation strategy from the earliest stages through resolution.
The Opportunity
The firm is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Houston office employment litigation team. This role offers immediate client-facing responsibility and the opportunity to manage matters independently while working alongside experienced partners in a collaborative environment.
Associates in this position handle all phases of litigation, including drafting and responding to pleadings, managing discovery, preparing and arguing motions, taking and defending depositions, and participating in mediations, arbitrations, and trials. The role is well suited for an attorney looking to continue developing trial experience while growing a long-term practice within a supportive platform.
Qualifications
- Experience handling employment litigation matters
- Trial and arbitration experience preferred
- Strong legal writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
- Ability to independently manage cases and multiple deadlines
- Excellent academic credentials and communication skills
- Admission to the Texas Bar required
