Warren Recruiting isseeking a environmental and natural resources law attorney with 11+ years of comparable law firm or relevant government practice experience for a Counsel or Partner level position for the Houston office of a leading law firm. The attorney candidate will represent clients requiring assistance with all aspects of environmental and energy law including project development and permitting, environmental compliance issues, and advocacy in administrative proceedings before local, state and federal agencies and in court.
Must have comparable law firm or relevant government practice experience working with U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ), the Railroad Commission of Texas, the Department of State Health Services, among others with complex statutory and regulatory programs.
The attorney candidate should have a desire to support active practice groups that focus primarily on development, permitting, compliance and regulation of energy and other infrastructure projects, including environmental and land use permitting, PUC regulation and legislative and municipal relations. Areas of practice include air quality, carbon management & climate change, compliance, electric power generation, environmental risk analysis, mining and reclamation,project development and permitting
The ideal candidate will have strong academic credentials and excellent communication and writing skills. Major law firm experience is a plus. Must be admitted and a member in good standing of the Texas Bar. No portables required for this progressive law firm.
