Energy & Infrastructure Projects Associate Attorney
Direct Counsel is seeking an Energy & Infrastructure Projects Associate Attorney to join a highly respected Am Law firm's Houston office.
Position Overview:
A leading national firm is seeking a mid- to senior-level Associate Attorney with approximately 4–6 years of experience to join its Energy & Infrastructure Projects group in Houston. This is an excellent opportunity for a transactional attorney with strong financing and/or M&A experience to work on complex, high-value energy and infrastructure matters.
The ideal candidate will have experience in project finance, acquisitions, and dispositions within the energy and infrastructure space, and a demonstrated ability to support or lead sophisticated transactions. Strong academic credentials and a commitment to producing excellent client service are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in energy and infrastructure project finance and transactional matters
- Advise on acquisitions and dispositions involving energy and infrastructure assets
- Support structuring, negotiation, and execution of complex financing transactions
- Draft and review key transaction documents and financing agreements
- Coordinate with cross-disciplinary teams on large-scale infrastructure and energy projects
- Manage work streams across active transactions and client matters
Qualifications:
- Approximately 4–6 years of experience in project finance, M&A, and/or energy infrastructure transactions
- Prior law firm experience required
- Experience leading or managing components of complex transactions preferred
- Strong drafting, analytical, and negotiation skills
- High level of academic achievement and strong professional references preferred
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deal-driven environment
Compensation:
The anticipated base salary for this Houston-based Associate Attorney position is competitive and may be eligible for a discretionary year-end bonus, depending on experience and other job-related factors consistent with applicable law.
