Innovative Driven is currently seeking a dynamic and energetic Litigation Paralegal who thrives in a collaborative and high-stakes legal environment to join the team at one of the nation's leading boutique law firms!
This is a phenomenal opportunity for an experienced paralegal who loves the excitement and energy that comes when working with a legal team in the heat of high-stakes trials!
The role is OT eligible, and it will be a hybrid schedule requiring three days of onsite work in the firm's beautiful Houston office and two days remote.
RESPONSIBILITIES:- Manage case files including calendaring deadlines, file maintenance, and participation in status meetings
- Utilize litigation support systems, specifically Relativity, iManage, Westlaw and Harvey
- Perform substantive research and analysis
- Coordinate preparation and filing of briefs
- Perform cite checking and compile appendices and exhibits
- File in state and federal courts
- Manage, coordinate, and prepare for hearings and depositions,
- Draft witness outlines, prepare deposition exhibits, and work with experts and witnesses
- Collaborate with e-discovery project manager to facilitate the process from collection through production across all formats
- Facilitate and implement trial preparations
- Drafting and manage trial exhibit lists, deposition designations, witness lists, and other required pretrial filings, exhibit tracking, testimony time, and assist with all other attorney assignments during court proceedings
- Travel to and participate in trials or arbitrations will be required
- Bachelor's degree or a paralegal certificate
- Minimum of 5 years of paralegal experience in litigation required, including trial prep and attendance
- Experience filing documents in various jurisdictions, including both state and federal courts
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Adobe, PowerPoint, and document management systems (iManage, SharePoint)
- Proficiency in the use of e-discovery and deposition transcript tools (Relativity, Harvey, Trial Director, OnCue)
- Experience with various Artificial Intelligence (AI) legal tools (Harvey, CoCounsel, Lexis+)
- Experience with rules-based docketing and calendar management solution
